Xiruela is a continuing education centre in Cali, Colombia. Every book bought through Rebuild Colombia funds one hour of class here, in the programme described below.
What this is
A real school, with a real address.
Xiruela is the continuing education centre of HIKI, operated by LEX Learning Experience S.A.S., tax ID 901.592.613-2, a company registered in Cali, Colombia. Our programmes are endorsed by the Education Institute of the Colombian Red Cross, Valle Chapter.
We teach in person, in small groups, with a specialist in the room. We are not a platform and we do not sell recorded courses.
What this is not. Under Colombian law this is continuing education. It does not lead to a degree or to an occupational certificate, and we say so on every page of this site.

Learning to live calmly again. An 80-hour programme for people over sixty who lived through the earthquake of 10 August 2026. It is built around what the event actually broke: sleep, the body's alarm, and the sense that the ground can be trusted.

One book pays for one hour of class. Eighty books put one person through the whole programme, at no cost to them.

Where the money goes
It is a purchase, not a donation.
You buy a book and you receive it. The proceeds fund seats in the programme above. We put it plainly because that is how it is structured under Colombian tax law, and because a purchase and a donation are not the same thing.
Seats go to people identified through an open needs assessment we run after the earthquake. Nobody has to prove hardship to a committee.
